Loosely fitted dresses can look boring really quickly, but when I saw this cute PLAVATÉ number from Mumbai’s all-sustainable fashion store TOILE, I knew this one was different! I just loved the stripes and red borders that give the whole outfit a interesting shape and structure. My stylist Himani asked me to pair it up with red heels to give it a more feminine touch and a bunch of cute finger rings to add the glamour! Loved it!
I chose to wear it at the o2h Innovation Conference in Ahmedabad where I was invited to speak about Seams For Dreams and the movement towards sustainability in fashion. You can watch the full speech on the SFD YouTube Channel in four parts!
I’m sure you guys have been following our #WearWashLoveRepeat campaign on the SFD social media and I’m really impressed by all your posts on how you style your own clothes in different ways! Now in case you were wondering what happens to the many clothes I wear for public appearances: I return 99% of the dresses back to the brand after wearing them. Being dressed up all the time for my events and shoots is one of my favourite parts of being a celebrity and most of the time I’m glad I can just return it the next day, cause I really think we all need to downsize our closets! We live in a word of excess and I want to motivate to check out our website www.SeamsForDreams.com to know how you can donate you old clothes through SFD to someone in need.
Do you have too many clothes, too? Or do you feel like you have nothing at all? Tell me in the COMMENTS!
